As you can doubtless tell, this site is a work in progress. Really little more than a place to put a few bookmarks and for us to blog.
Well, it would be if we had time to blog.
I have maintained a weblog, in one form or another, for nearly fifteen years. Well, I have if you consider any old text-based drivel stored on magnetic media and archived by date to be a weblog.
Not much of this work remains except for a tattered remnant or two, sans styles or context, tucked away in the crevasses of servers tasked with stashing this kind of stuff away.
Many moves, many computers and many lapses in what was never been a coherent — or even existing — backup plan have sent those electrons on a one-way trip into the aether.
I used to claim that this data loss didn’t bother me. That I was embracing the transitory nature of the medium. That I could, at will, rebuild, bigger and better. That’s pretty much crap. I can’t retake the lost family photos and I can’t recreate the circumstances that led to the words. I not at all sure I would if I could, but it sure would be nice to revisit from time to time.
Oh, well.
For the moment, this site is no more than a simple front end for the business and a place to blog. Nothing special, but the contact form works and you’re reading this. That’s a start.
